Miami, Florida — January 21, 2021 — Assembly of the Cuban Resistance — The Assembly of the Cuban Resistance deems that it is necessary and important to reaffirm its support for the government and people of Israel on this new and changing world stage.
It is a well-known fact that governments that do not foster peace and respectful relations with other countries have repeatedly threatened to make Israel disappear.
These aggressive neighbors launch frequent and indiscriminate attacks on Israeli civilians, disrespecting Israel’s sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens.
As a result of the ever-complicated international geopolitics, alliances and interests often change or are restructured, and Israel has often suffered from those swings, which have made it act defensively.
However, beyond ideologies, and political and geopolitical interests, Israel is the only nation in the Middle East with a democratic political system and a free market economy. In addition, it has a model of freedoms and respect for fundamental human rights that the Assembly of Cuban Resistance aspires to apply in Cuba.
We now have the opportunity to stand in solidarity with our great ally Israel and to thank them for their strong and reliable support for Cubans’ legitimate aspirations to a free Cuba.
