Raul Martinez Caraballo

El día 9/5/17, los agentes de la Seguridad del Estado y de la policía nacional revolucionaria allanaron la vivienda del activista Raúl Martínez Caraballo sin mostrar orden de registro. Le ocuparon una computadora, un radio, varios documentos y libros. Luego fue trasladado a la Unidad Policial de Manuel Tames. Al poco rato llevaron en un carro patrullero a su hijo menor de edad, Noé Martínez Avilés esposado y a Raúl lo trasladaron para la Unidad de Operaciones de los Delitos Contra La Seguridad del Estado. Durante los dos traslados fue amenazado por los oficiales llamados Eusebio Barzaga y Orlando Castillo lo amenazaron con muerte. El día 8 de septiembre lo sacaron del calabozo y le dijeron que su hijo Noé ha sido acusado de atentado y le dijeron que su libertad dependía de él - si colaborara con ellos, ponían a su hijo en libertad. Raúl no aceptó estas condiciones y su hijo sigue siendo acusado.

On 9/5/17, agents of State Security and the National Revolutionary Police raided the house of activist Raúl Martínez Caraballo without showing a search warrant. They occupied a computer, a radio, several documents and books. Then he was transferred to the Police Unit of Manuel Tames. Shortly after, they took there in a patrol car also their underage son, Noé Martínez Avilés, in handcuffs. Then Raúl was transferred to the Operations Unit for Crimes against State Security. During the two transfers he was threatened by officers called Eusebio Barzaga and Orlando Castillo, who threatened him with death. On September 8 they took him out of the dungeon and told him that his son Noah had been accused of an attack and was told that his freedom depended on him - if he collaborated with them, they would released his son. Raúl did not accept these conditions and his son continues to be accused.
