Miami, Florida-23 de febrero del 2018- “JusticiaCuba”. Líderes de derechos humanos de diferentes partes del mundo hacen pública hoy una carta abierta al Presidente Donald J. Trump, urgiéndole a hacer efectiva una ley existente de los Estados Unidos, para enjuiciar al Régimen castrista en la Corte Internacional de Justicia, por el asesinato de tres ciudadanos estadounidenses y un residente legal, en el brutal derribo de dos avionetas de los Hermanos al Rescate, en aguas internacionales el 24 de febrero del 1996.
Los líderes y activistas alrededor del mundo piden al Presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald J. Trump que promulgue la Ley Federal de Estados Unidos 104-114, la cual urge al Presidente a “pedir, en la Corte Internacional de Justicia, un enjuiciamiento por este acto de terrorismo de Fidel Castro”. La ley oficialmente se conoce como “Libertad Act” .
Las firmas en la petición incluyen al jurista mexicano, Rene Bolio, quien preside La Comisión Internacional Fiscalizadora de Crímenes de Lesa Humanidad del Castrismo “JusticiaCuba”, el prominente disidente chino Dr. Yan Jianli, matemático y ex preso político, Anna Maria Stame Cervonne, conocida política italiana y activista de derechos humanos ante las Naciones Unidas, Martín Paz , concejal venezolano exiliado, Dr. Maher Nana, médico sirio-americano y activista humanitario, así como los demás miembros de “JusticiaCuba” y 26 activistas de derechos humanos chinos, intelectuales y opositores políticos.
Se hace pública la carta en el 22 aniversario del ataque, la misma comienza una campaña internacional para hacer efectivo el enjuiciamiento por la masacre abominable del 24 de febrero del 1996, que ha sido condenada por diversas instituciones internacionales. La Comisión “JusticiaCuba” está buscando diferentes avenidas para establecer un proceso legal en contra del Régimen Castrista por su larga lista de crímenes cometidos de lesa humanidad y recientemente publicó una lista con 44 miembros del régimen conocidos por sus severas violaciones de derechos humanos.

Dear Mr. President:
February 24, 2018 marks the 22nd anniversary of the Cuban attack on American aircraft (Brothers to the Rescue) which resulted in the shoot-down of two Brothers’ to the Rescue civilian, unarmed and defenseless planes in international airspace on humanitarian mission to save lives in the Straits of Florida.
On that day in 1996, without warning and in broad daylight, the Castro dictatorship dispatched two fighter jets to hunt the planes down, which resulted in the murders of three American citizens and one United States legal resident: Carlos Costa, Armando Alejandre, Jr., Mario de la Peña y Pablo Morales.
To this day, this heinous crime remains unpunished, despite promises made to their families by previous administrations.
We respectfully request that you enact the action in federal law 104-114, SEC.116, Clause (b) (3) which states:
“The congress urges the President to seek, in the International Court of Justice, indictment for this act of terrorism by Fidel Castro”. We thank you for your consideration and ask that you use all the means at your disposal to bring these criminals to justice under your administration.
