Miami, Florida – June 19, 2018- Assembly of the Cuban Resistance. The Don’t Aid Campaign, a public awareness effort undertaken by a broad non-partisan coalition of human rights organizations, labor advocates and legitimate owners in order to educate the public about the negative consequences of cruise tourism to Cuba, today made public a new series of ads. The ads which will be disseminated on TV and social media, provide information about how the money from cruise ship tourism to Cuba helps fund repression against the Cuban people, participates in the exploitation of Cuban labor, and traffics in stolen property.
“The Don’t Aid Campaign has had a great start. We are going to continue intensifying our outreach with this public awareness campaign so that people understand the negative consequences of tourism to a slave state like Cuba,” said Dr. Orlando Gutierrez-Boronat one of the leaders of the Assembly of the Cuban Resistance, which is spearheading the campaign.
