Miami, Florida - January 11, 2017 - Cuban Democratic Directorate. The Cuban Democratic Directorate denounces the increasing repression of the Castro regime in Cuba.

In Havana, on the morning of January 11th, Dr. Oscar Elías Biscet was arrested with his whereabouts unknown, by the police of Castro’s regime, upon exiting his house, according to a witness account by his wife Elsa Morejón, given by phone to the Cuban Democratic Directorate.

"We blame Raul Castro's regime for what may happen to my husband," Elsa Morejon told the Cuban Democratic Directorate.

In Holguin, human rights activist Maydolis Leiva Portelles, reported that her three children were arbitrarily arrested in Holguin since November 27, 2016—Anairis Miranda Leiva, Adairis Miranda Leiva, Fidel Manuel Batista Leiva and all of them will be brought to trial today in the court of Holguin.

On November 27, 2016, the entire family, including two minors, Adairis' children, were subjected to an act of repudiation, demonstrations led by government supporters with participation of Castro’s state security officials, violent raiding of their home, beatings, theft of personal property, and finally the arbitrary arrest of her three children, taken to a penal center on the outskirts of the city of Holguin.
