Fundashon Bon Intenshon on behalf of the island of Curaçao
Fundashon Bon Intenshon is a foundation headed by Gregory Elias. This past November Fundashon Bon Intenshon financed Ernest Dickerson’s ‘Double Play’ adaption. The film shoot on location in Curacao in November 2015. Gregory Elias as producer of this film which was financed by his foundation (Fundashon Bon Intenshon), the same foundation which is sponsoring the Rolling Stones in Cuba. Elias stated the following in November 2015 when asked about his involvement producing this film: “What is important to me about this project is the role of women as described in the book and portrayed in the film," adds producer Gregory Elias, producer of the Curacao North Sea Jazz Festival and Curacao International Film Festival Rotterdam. "It underscores that regardless how disrespectful and humiliating men often treat their wives or lovedones, womens' strong will, pride and determination to survive always prevails. The message of this picture is relevant and unchanged in many societies around the Globe today."

Just three months after stating the importance of the subject matter as it related to producing ‘Double Play’, Gregory Elias’ foundation (Fundashon Bon Intenshon), is sponsoring the Rolling Stones in Cuba Amity Concert. The painful irony here is that the very Regime which is receiving Elias’ sponsorship and “goodwill publicity” is at the helm of a litany of well documented human rights violations spanning almost 60 years. We call upon Gregory Elias’ Fundashon Bon Intenshon to show “Amity” with those men and women suffering at the hands of Cuba’s oppressive regime. If Elias' wants to support what he called "women's strong will, pride and determination to survive", he need just walk with #todosmarchamos any Sunday at around 1:00pm in Havana. He could see for himself how peaceful women, each holding a flower, are repeatedly insulted, pushed, dragged, beat, and many shoved into vehicles to be detained and subsequently released far from their homes and with the little money they had, gone. All this compliments of the Castro Regime for daring to ask for the release of political prisoners.

Fundashon Bon Intenshon’s sponsorship of the Rolling Stones in Cuba Concert at this time goes against the very nature of “good intention” –
A repressive regime is still in power in Cuba and stands to benefit greatly from the publicity generated from this concert in their ongoing aggressive attempt to change their image while not moving “one millimeter” towards changing their oppressive ways. The Rolling Stones Concert will also benefit this Regime financially being that state-owned companies run by the military profit from each and every dollar coming into Cuba and much will come both directly and as a result of this concert. Assistance in image building and financial growth of the Castro Regime means sustaining the continuation of relentless oppression.
We ask Fundashon Bon Intenshon - Gregory Elias, to have the "Good Intention" of
Supporting Human Rights in Cuba
